Extend PS2 KVM's over CAT5!
The Avocent LongView series presents the LV430-AM and LV830-AM. Theses CAT5 KVM Extenders are designed for use with PS2 computers. The LV430-AM allows up to 500 feet of extension between a local and remote unit, with one local user. The LV830-AM differs in the fact that it supports two local users. Both devices consist of a transmitter and receiver unit, which are connected with inexpensive CAT5/CAT6 UTP Ethernet cables. You can now control your computer with a keyboard, mouse, and display up to 500 feet from it's source computer! The LV430-AM and LV830-AM support VGA video at a resolution of 1024 x 768. The devices feature ports for PS2 keyboard/mouse, VGA video, and a serial device. With these devices the physical and secure separation of computer device and it's peripherals is made easy.
