Avocent SearchView Secure line of KVM switches bring the 2 port, 4 port, and 8 port secure PS2 and USB multi-platform support KVM switches. The secure KVM switches are useful in a desktop application and come in 6 variations. All connected devices are constantly monitored to enhance security. The SC100 and SC200 switches make sure that only USB human interface devices (keyboards and mice) are in use with the switch. No other USB devices will work (flash drives, MP3 players, and photo cameras). These switches are the most secure desktop KVM solutions. The switches are available in the following models:

The SC200 models feature CAC card reader support - which is required for government systems. The CAC reader grants users access with the proper card, preventing unwanted users. All 6 varriants have intrusion defense software as well.

• Secure software - The US designed firmware only CAC (common access cards) human interface devices, keyboard, and mouse to switch to connected computers. The firmware prohibits devices like USB flash drives, portable cameras, and all other USB devices.
• Tamper-evident tape to present damage from internal access of unit. (Only SC200 units)
• Chassis interfusion detection - if the cover is removed from the switch, the switch becomes inoperable and the LED lights on the front of the device begin to flash.
