VGA Extenders are useful tools to transmit high quality VGA Video feeds over long distances. Extension is completed using regular CAT5/CAT6 UTP cables and can reach as far as 500 feet. The use of VGA Extenders eliminates the need for bulky VGA cables while maintaining high quality visual output with resolutions reaching as high as 1900 x 1200. A VGA Extender consists of two units: one local transmitter which connects to the source video feed, and one remote receiver unit which extends the video feed to a remote monitor or other output.
CAT5 VGA Extenders, or VGA extender over CAT5 are most useful in settings involving PC outputs, often times including bars and restaurants, hospitals, broadcasting environments, meetings and presentations.
